Bithumb, a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, said on May 12 that it is holding a "Campus Tour" during festival periods at major universities across the country to broaden its engagement with college students.

The campaign was designed to build brand familiarity through in-person communication and promote sound investment awareness around digital assets.

Bithumb began the tour on May 6 at Dankook University and Chosun University, and is visiting 12 universities nationwide. It plans to operate interactive programs at major campus festivals, including Seoul National University on May 12 and Hanyang University on May 27.

The company has set up dedicated booths at each campus event to provide digital-asset-related content and run a range of activities that visitors can join on site.

On the first day of each event, users who signed up in advance and received investment support benefits will be offered commemorative gifts on a first-come, first-served basis when they visit the booth. Advance registration is held for one to two weeks before each event, depending on the university's schedule.

Visitors to the booths will also receive snacks such as popcorn, while new users will be offered benefits including investment support funds and Bitcoin giveaways. Additional rewards will also be provided to existing users who registered in advance.

Bithumb will also hold prize drawings for participants who subscribe to its YouTube channel and take part in its comment event. Details on the campus tour and related events will also be posted on Bithumb's official YouTube channel.

Bithumb said it has confirmed strong interest among college students in digital assets and investing at university festivals. The company added that it aims to share a healthy investment culture with younger generations through the campus tour and expand communication in a more approachable way.
