Layer-1 blockchain Aptos (APT) plans to introduce a new feature aimed at protecting transaction details.
Aptos wrote on its official X account on May 12 that it plans to launch an Encrypted Mempool, which is designed to keep user transaction information from being exposed during processing. The feature is intended to reduce front-running, censorship and leaks of order information.
Under the system, transaction contents remain hidden while they are being included in a block and are revealed only when they are actually processed. Once finalized, the transactions are recorded on the blockchain as usual.
Aptos said its architecture for processing multiple transactions in batches means the feature should have little impact on network speed or system stability.
