An Ethereum initial coin offering, or ICO, wallet that had been dormant for more than a decade has become active again.
Lookonchain said on May 13 that Ethereum ICO address 0xeD41 moved its entire 790.17 ETH balance to a new wallet after about 10.8 years of inactivity.
The investor is known to have spent about $245 during Ethereum's ICO to receive 790.17 ETH. The holdings are now worth about $1.79 million, implying a return of roughly 7,303 times.
The transfer of a long-dormant early Ethereum wallet has drawn market attention over whether the tokens could eventually be sold.
Ethereum was trading at $2,262 on Binance's USDT market, down 1.28% from a day earlier.
