Korbit said on May 19 that it will hold a weeklong event through May 25 to mark Bitcoin Pizza Day.

Bitcoin Pizza Day commemorates May 22, 2010, when Bitcoin was first used in a real-world transaction. On that day, US programmer Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas for 10,000 BTC in what is widely known as the first real-world purchase using a virtual asset.

The event consists of three missions offering Domino’s Pizza gifticons as prizes. Korbit will award rewards to 156 members in total through a lottery among those who meet the conditions for each mission.

The first mission is for members who answer all the Pizza Day quiz questions on the event page correctly and trade at least $38 worth of Bitcoin. Korbit will award gifticons to 52 winners.

The second mission targets members who sign up for Korbit for the first time during the event period and trade at least $38 worth of Bitcoin. A total of 52 winners will receive rewards through a lottery.

The final mission is for members who trade at least $38 worth of Bitcoin for seven consecutive days during the event period. Korbit plans to provide gifticons to 52 selected members. More details are available in Korbit’s notices.

A Korbit official said the company prepared the event to commemorate Bitcoin Pizza Day, which began in 2010. Korbit will continue working to provide a variety of services and benefits for its customers, the official added.
