South Carolina is set to formally enact a bill protecting the right to self-custody Bitcoin.
Cointelegraph reported on May 20 that South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster recently signed Senate Bill S.163.
The bill protects an individual's right to Bitcoin self-custody. It also prohibits discriminatory taxation of Bitcoin and includes provisions protecting proof-of-work mining activity.
