Cross-Chain Bridge Gravity Suffers Suspected Hack With Estimated Losses of $5.4 Million

Gravity Bridge, a cross-chain bridge project, appears to have suffered a hacking attack that resulted in the theft of about $5.4 million in assets.

Odaily reported on May 30 that an attacker was seen siphoning off funds after Gravity Bridge's contract key was compromised.

The bulk of the stolen assets was about $4.3 million in USDC. The total also included 274 wrapped Ether worth about $553,000, about $434,000 in Tether and roughly $64,000 in PAYG tokens.
