Reform UK received large donations from the crypto industry in the first quarter of this year.

Cointelegraph reported on June 5, citing UK Electoral Commission disclosures, that the party received a total of $9.4 million from donors including Tether investor Christopher Harborne, who gave $4 million, and BitMEX co-founder Ben Delo, who contributed $5.4 million.

That exceeded the roughly $5.4 million raised by each of the Labour Party and the Conservative Party over the same period.

Reform UK has taken the most crypto-friendly stance among British political parties. It was the first UK party to accept Bitcoin donations, and party leader Nigel Farage has proposed cutting the capital gains tax on crypto assets to 10% from 24%. He has also argued that the Bank of England should hold Bitcoin reserves.
