Iran's Foreign Ministry strongly condemned a US military attack, calling it a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
China's financial outlet Jin10 reported on June 6 that the ministry said in a statement that US forces struck radar and coastal surveillance facilities in the Sirik area and on Qeshm Island. It called the attack a blatant breach of the ceasefire agreement and a military assault on Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The ministry said the US has repeatedly undermined the ceasefire agreement. It added that this again shows Washington has no interest in easing tensions or restoring regional stability.
The ministry also said the US is putting regional security at serious risk through reckless actions. It stressed that the US government bears full responsibility for all resulting consequences and any further deterioration in the situation.
