U.S. producer prices rose more than expected in May.
The U.S. Producer Price Index increased 1.1% from the previous month in May, above the 0.7% forecast, the Labor Department said on June 11.
Producer prices are considered a leading indicator of consumer inflation because they are reflected in final consumer goods prices after a certain period.
