Ripple recently launched the XRPL AI Starter Kit, CoinDesk reported on June 13. The tool is designed to help developers build AI agents on the XRP Ledger and supports x402 payments using XRP and Ripple USD, or RLUSD.
The starter kit includes access to XRPL documentation that connects external data with AI tools, along with Claude skills for wallet creation, balance checks and payments. That would allow AI agents to pay API fees, cover model inference costs and automatically transfer funds between services.
Ripple said the XRP Ledger's fast settlement speed and low fees make it well suited for micropayments between AI agents. The company envisions AI agents handling API payments and service-to-service fund transfers without human intervention.
Ripple did not provide details in the announcement on actual clients, transaction volumes or adoption by major services.
