President Donald Trump reiterated that Iran has agreed never to possess nuclear weapons.

On June 15, Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social that “Iran has agreed to never have a Nuclear Weapon.”

He also rejected reports that the US had agreed to pay Iran $300 million, calling them “Fake News.” Trump described the claim as a false allegation invented by Democrats.

The US and Iran recently signed a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, to extend a ceasefire and pursue nuclear talks. The agreement reportedly includes additional negotiations over the next 60 days. The Trump administration has emphasized that Iran abandoning its nuclear weapons development is the central condition of the talks.
