U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis underscored the importance of digital assets and called for protecting the industry.
In a post on X on June 17, Lummis wrote that “sound money” is part of the foundation on which the US was built and that digital assets are restoring access to it for all Americans.
“That is worth protecting,” she added.
Lummis is one of Congress’s most prominent advocates for crypto. She has consistently pushed for a clear regulatory framework for Bitcoin and the broader digital-asset industry, while taking an active role in legislative discussions on stablecoins and market structure.
More recently, she sent a letter to the US Treasury arguing that states should retain their supervisory authority in the stablecoin regulatory process, underscoring the need to foster the digital-asset industry.
