A long-dormant Ethereum whale has started selling its holdings, on-chain data showed.
On-chain analytics platform Onchain Lens said on June 23 that a whale address inactive for about seven years has sold 1,100 ETH so far, raising about 1.9 million USDS. The sales generated an estimated $41 million profit.
The investor originally bought 27,586.48 ETH for about $5.72 million, implying an average purchase price of about $207 per Ether.
The address still holds 26,486.48 ETH, worth about $44.86 million at current prices. Onchain Lens said the remaining tokens could be sold through decentralized trading protocol CoWSwap.
