Trump Says Iran Accepts Highest-Level Nuclear Inspections, US to Reopen Hormuz Strait
Forecast Trend Report by Period

President Donald Trump said Iran has agreed to accept long-term inspections of its nuclear facilities, prompting the US to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
In a Truth Social post on June 23, Trump wrote that Iran had agreed to "fully accept the highest level of nuclear inspections going forward" and said the move would ensure "Nuclear Honesty."
He said there would have been no further negotiations if Iran had refused. Given what he described as major concessions by Iran, including acceptance of nuclear inspections, the US will keep the Strait of Hormuz open and refrain from imposing additional maritime blockades.
Trump added that US naval forces would remain in their current positions so the blockade could be resumed if necessary. For now, however, he said that possibility appears very low.
He also said any funds provided to Iran through sanctions relief would be deposited in escrow accounts managed by the US government and used only to buy food and medical supplies. The US plans to supply Iran with essential goods, including American agricultural products such as corn, wheat and soybeans, calling the measure a response to a humanitarian crisis.
Trump said negotiations are proceeding smoothly and that talks between the US and Iran are moving in a positive direction.
