Coinbase Secures MiCA License in Luxembourg, Expanding Services Across EU's 27 Member States
Forecast Trend Report by Period

Coinbase, the largest US cryptocurrency exchange, is stepping up its expansion in Europe after obtaining a Markets in Crypto-Assets, or MiCA, license from Luxembourg's financial regulator.
Wu Blockchain reported on June 24 that Coinbase received the license from Luxembourg's Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, or CSSF. The company said it plans to use Luxembourg as a hub for its European crypto business.
The license allows Coinbase to offer crypto-related products and services across all 27 European Union member states under a single regulatory framework. The market spans about 450 million people.
MiCA is the EU's unified crypto regulatory regime. It lets companies operate across the bloc without securing separate approvals in each member state.
Coinbase said the license will help strengthen its regulation-friendly business base in Europe and support an expansion of crypto services for institutional and retail investors.
