Nexxus Obtains ISO/IEC 42001 Certification for AI Management System

Nexxus said June 26 that it had obtained ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for artificial intelligence management systems.
The company also passed follow-up audits for ISO/IEC 27001, the information security management system standard, and ISO/IEC 27701, the privacy information management system standard, while newly obtaining ISO/IEC 42001 certification.
ISO/IEC 42001 is an international standard for managing risks that may arise throughout the development, deployment and operation of AI systems and for providing safe and ethical AI services. The certification recognizes the company's risk-management capabilities, including in AI, Nexxus said.
Based on the certification, Nexxus plans to respond proactively to global data-privacy regulations, including the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, as well as AI-related rules.
Chief Executive Officer Jang Hyun-kook said AI transformation has become a factor that determines a company's fundamental competitiveness. Nexxus will lead innovative and stable AI transformation based on data-protection capabilities that meet international standards and its AI management system, he added.
