Humanity Protocol, KelpDAO Hacks May Be Tied to Same Attacker
Forecast Trend Report by Period

New evidence suggests the recent hacks of Humanity Protocol (H) and KelpDAO may have been carried out by the same attacker.
On-chain investigator ZachXBT wrote that funds stolen from Humanity Protocol and KelpDAO converged into a single route about an hour earlier, Odaily reported on June 27. He described that as new evidence pointing to a common perpetrator behind the two hacks.
KelpDAO lost about $292 million in an infrastructure breach targeting the LayerZero (ZRO) bridge on April 18. Industry participants at the time raised the possibility that the North Korean hacking group Lazarus was behind the attack.
Humanity Protocol was hacked on June 9, with about $32 million in assets stolen.
ZachXBT said the latest analysis of fund flows offers new evidence against earlier speculation of insider involvement. Still, it has not been officially confirmed that the same hacker was behind both incidents.
