Hashed said June 29 that it will host "vooy Recipe Day," an AI agent hackathon for non-developers, with AI agent platform startup vooy.

The event will run from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on July 4 at Hashed Lounge in Seoul's Gangnam district. Participants only need to bring a laptop, and no programming experience is required. Anyone with experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini can apply.

The hackathon is aimed at people interested in AI agents who have faced entry barriers such as installation and setup. Participants will use the vooy platform to connect various services and build AI agents that operate through prompts alone.

They will be able to create a range of AI agents, including a travel assistant that recommends itineraries and restaurants, a work assistant that automates repetitive tasks, a personal assistant that organizes news and schedules, and an AI manager that handles meal plans and grocery lists.

The program will begin with a "Recipe" session introducing the vooy platform and ways to use generative AI, followed by a live demo and tutorial. Participants will then build AI agents in two rounds with support from experts. The event will also include networking and demo sessions for participants to share their finished projects.

Winners will be chosen by participant vote. Prizes include 1 million won ($720) for first place, 500,000 won ($360) for second place and 300,000 won ($216) for third place, along with a special award.

After the event, participants will be able to continue using the AI agents they create in their work and daily lives. Admission is free, and organizers are recruiting 50 non-developers across roles including project managers, human resources staff, planners, designers, tax accountants and operations staff. Applications can be submitted through event platform Luma, and final participants will be selected through a separate screening process.

"AI agent technology is advancing rapidly, but many people still feel there are barriers to using it," Hashed Chief Executive Officer Kim Seo-jun said. He added that the company hopes the event will help more non-developers gain hands-on experience building and using AI agents tailored to their work.
