Bitcoin Rises Above $64,000 as Major Altcoins Advance

Bitcoin continued its advance, reclaiming the $64,000 level.

As of 6:13 a.m. on July 7 in South Korea, Bitcoin was trading at $64,372.01 on Binance's USDT market, up 2.6% from a day earlier. On Upbit's won market, it was trading at 96.53 million won, up 0.93%.

Major altcoins including Ether also moved higher. On Binance's USDT market, Ether was trading at $1,819.74, up 2.63% from the previous day, while XRP was at $1.16, up 1.95%.

The rebound was driven by comments from the White House that the U.S. is working on structuring a strategic Bitcoin reserve and its virtual-asset holdings.
