Multichain crypto wallet Ctrl Wallet will shut down its service following a security incident last month.

Cointelegraph reported on July 7 that Ctrl Wallet will disable all in-app functions, including transfers, receipts and swaps, starting Aug. 3. After that date, only seed phrase export will remain available. The mobile app and browser extension will also be removed from app stores, and new downloads have already been halted.

Ctrl Wallet asked users to move their assets to another crypto wallet or exchange before the shutdown deadline.

The move follows a security incident last month. Ctrl Wallet switched to maintenance mode and restricted some services on June 23 after identifying a security vulnerability in some ADA-related wallets.
