Bithumb said on July 8 that it will open an exclusive presale for members for preview performances of the Korean premiere of the musical "Frozen."
The presale is intended to offer members differentiated cultural benefits. Bithumb members can select seats ahead of general sales through a dedicated booking channel. They will also receive a 10% discount on all seats during both the presale and general sale periods.
"Frozen" is a Broadway hit based on Disney's animated film of the same name. The production features songs including "Let It Go" and recreates well-known scenes from the film on stage.
The preview performances will be held over three days on Aug. 9, Aug. 11 and Aug. 12. Presales for Bithumb members will open at 11 a.m. on July 9 through the Bithumb app and website after member verification. General ticket sales will begin at 11 a.m. on July 16 through Clip Service.
The event is part of "Musical for Sharing," the first program under the company's "Bithumb Sharing Project" social contribution campaign. Part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to neighbors in need. Starting with this program, Bithumb plans to expand its social contribution activities through a range of cultural content. The company said it also sponsored performances, games and sports in several cultural fields last year to broaden customer access to cultural experiences and help revitalize South Korea's cultural industry.
A Bithumb official said the "Musical for Sharing" project was designed to let members enjoy a performance while naturally taking part in giving. The company will continue to broaden social contribution programs that create social value together with customers through the Bithumb Sharing Project, the official added.
