Dunamu, operator of digital-asset exchange Upbit, said July 8 that it will launch a pilot Upbit customer desk at The Hyundai Daegu to broaden its reach with local customers.

The desk will operate through Sept. 23 at the customer service lounge on the eighth floor of The Hyundai Daegu in Dongseong-ro, Jung-gu, Daegu. It will provide one-on-one consultations and guidance on new account registration for first-time users and customers seeking help using the service. It marks the first time Upbit has operated a customer desk outside Seoul.

Dunamu said it set up the desk to make consultation services more convenient for regional users. The company also plans to help customers who are less familiar with remote services understand Upbit's registration process and how to use the platform on site. Based on the pilot, it will consider whether to further expand customer contact points.

Upbit will also hold several on-site events during the operating period. Customers who sign up for Upbit for the first time will receive a Bitcoin voucher worth 10,000 won ($7). Among new registrants, the company will select one winner each month, for a total of three winners, to receive a Bitcoin voucher worth 1 million won ($725). The first 100 visitors will also receive Upbit-branded merchandise. More details are available through Upbit's customer center.

A Dunamu official said the company created the customer desk to expand its engagement with regional customers and communicate with them more closely. Customers who are new to Upbit or curious about digital assets are encouraged to visit and learn how to use the service.
