Crypto firms including OKX, MetaMask and Matter Labs are moving to build infrastructure to resolve disputes arising from transactions between artificial intelligence agents.
The GenLayer Foundation has launched an AI agent-focused dispute-resolution protocol called Internet Court with 27 companies including OKX, MetaMask and Matter Labs, CoinDesk reported on July 10.
AI agents are tools that can negotiate with one another and execute payments without human intervention. Concerns have persisted over the lack of infrastructure to resolve disputes when conflicts arise between such agents.
Internet Court aims to support interoperability across different AI services by linking AI-based payments, escrow and dispute-resolution functions within a single protocol.
"In an era when AI agents execute transactions at machine speed, systems are also needed to resolve disputes at machine speed," GenLayer Foundation co-founder and Chief Executive Officer David Ruidor said. He added that Internet Court will provide a shared venue for AI agents to use when problems arise in transactions.
