Lookonchain said on July 12 that the whale transferred 2,931 BTC, worth about $188.03 million, to a new wallet about three hours earlier.
The whale received the 2,931 BTC seven years ago, when Bitcoin was trading at around $6,513, and had not moved the funds until now.
The market is watching for any further transfers or deposits to exchanges after the long-dormant wallet became active. So far, there is no indication the holdings have been sent to an exchange.
