Hacker Promotes Meme Coin Through Hacked SpaceX, Starlink Accounts, Makes $135,000

A hacker made more than $130,000 in illicit profit after taking over SpaceX and Starlink social media accounts and using them to promote a meme coin.
On-chain analytics platform Lookonchain said on July 12 the attacker hijacked the SpaceX and Starlink accounts and promoted the meme coin SCATMAN.
The hacker then minted 10 trillion SCATMAN tokens and sold the entire amount, collecting 59 Ether worth about $108,000. The attacker also sold 59.28 million SCATMAN held in another wallet, generating an additional 14.7 Ether, or about $27,000.
The total illicit profit from the attack is estimated at about $135,000.
