The US military said it has completed its latest airstrike operation against Iran.
US Central Command said in a statement on X that the latest strikes on Iran ended at 10:15 p.m. Eastern time on July 13.
The operation lasted about five hours. US forces carried out precision strikes on military targets in Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa and Bandar Abbas.
The strikes were intended to further degrade Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping, Central Command said. US forces used precision-guided munitions to hit coastal defense systems, missile and drone bases, and naval assets.
It added that more than 50,000 US troops are currently deployed in the Middle East and remain ready to carry out missions at any time.
