The U.S. government has moved another $12.9 million in seized crypto assets.

Wu Blockchain reported on July 14, citing data from on-chain analytics platform Arkham, that wallets holding seized assets under U.S. government control transferred a total of $12.9 million in crypto.

A government wallet holding assets seized in the Bitfinex hack transferred about $11.45 million to Coinbase Prime over the past six hours. The transfer included 5,939 Ether and 296,709 Tether. Another 901,005 USDC was moved to a separate wallet.

Separately, a government wallet holding assets seized in the FTX and Alameda case distributed 209.18 Ether, 0.533 WBTC, 1,231 COMP, 5.37 YFI, 4,054 NMR, 4,107 AXS and 138,950 RLC across multiple addresses. The assets were valued at about $543,000.

The moves have fueled market speculation that the U.S. government may be preparing to sell the seized assets after repeatedly transferring them to Coinbase Prime. So far, there has been no official confirmation that any sale has taken place.
