BNK Financial Creates Digital Asset Task Force to Prepare Business Base

BNK Financial Group has created a dedicated digital asset unit, the Digital Asset Task Force, as it moves to lay the groundwork for a digital asset business.

BNK Financial said July 15 that its second-half organizational overhaul also established an AX, or AI transformation, task force to strengthen its response system for future finance.

The Digital Asset Task Force will respond to changes in the financial environment, including payments and digital assets. BNK Financial plans to build its digital asset business base in advance as legislation on the Basic Digital Asset Act begins in earnest in the second half of this year.

The reorganization is aimed at strengthening the group's response to the regional economy and securing competitiveness in future finance. BNK Financial also set up the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Economy Research Team and the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam ESG Strategy Team to bolster regional industry analysis and ESG strategy functions.

The overhaul is designed to turn the group's second-half management strategy into an execution-focused organizational framework and strengthen the core competitiveness of a regional financial group, a BNK Financial official said. The group will also advance future finance by upgrading its response systems for AX and digital assets.
