The US military launched a new round of airstrikes against Iran, extending its military operations to a ninth straight day.

US Central Command said it began the new strikes against Iran at 7 p.m. Eastern time on July 19, equivalent to 6 a.m. in South Korea on July 20.

The command said the latest airstrikes marked the ninth consecutive day of attacks. The operation is aimed at continuing to degrade Iran's military capabilities used to attack commercial and civilian vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
