Hyperliquid plans to support permissionless deployment of HIP-4-based outcome prediction markets.
Wu Blockchain reported on July 20 that Hyperliquid will first roll out HIP-4 outcome prediction markets on testnet in a future upgrade. It then plans to introduce a permissionless deployment feature that will let anyone create a market.
Market deployers must stake 500,000 HYPE. That stake can be slashed if outcome criteria are set ambiguously or if markets are settled incorrectly.
Validators will approve standardized market templates. Deployers can launch markets using approved structures and receive up to 50% of the fees.
Hyperliquid said prediction markets can cover a much wider range of events than spot or perpetual futures markets. The company sees that as a key driver of the long-term growth of outcome prediction markets.
