Aurora is an EVM-compatible network built on NEAR Protocol that supports Ethereum-based applications and smart contracts at relatively low cost. It raised $12 million in 2021 from investors including Pantera Capital, Electric Capital and Dragonfly Capital.
According to DefiLlama, Aurora’s total value locked peaked at about $2.5 billion in 2022 before falling more than 99% to about $4.65 million.
