Bipartisan negotiations are underway in Congress over the ethics provision in the CLARITY Act, a digital-asset market structure bill.
Eleanor Terrett, host of Crypto in America, wrote in an X post on July 21 that bipartisan discussions on the ethics language are continuing on Capitol Hill.
The talks also include provisions related to decentralized finance, or DeFi. But the ethics provision remains the biggest hurdle to advancing the bill.
A spokesperson for Senator Cynthia Lummis said negotiations with the White House last week went well. Draft ethics language expected within days will reflect the results of productive discussions, the spokesperson added.
Axios also reported that bipartisan talks on the ethics provision are underway, with Senator Thom Tillis leading the negotiations for Republicans.
