Samsung Electronics plans to add stablecoin support to Samsung Wallet, expanding the service into a financial platform spanning payments, rewards and digital assets.

Samsung laid out the future direction of Samsung Wallet at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 in London on July 22. The company said it plans to support new forms of digital value, including stablecoins.

The move is intended to let Galaxy smartphone users use stablecoins as a built-in feature and provide a fast, stable environment for transferring digital value.

Samsung Wallet will also expand beyond payments into broader everyday uses. The service already allows users to store and use a range of items, including digital keys, identification cards and boarding passes.

By adding stablecoin support, Samsung aims to turn Samsung Wallet into a core platform linking Galaxy devices with financial services. The company plans to build an integrated financial environment where users can access payments, rewards and digital-asset functions within a single service.
