Tron’s TRX blockchain has been included in a digital-asset benchmark index jointly developed by S&P Dow Jones Indices and Pantera Capital.

The Block reported on July 22 that S&P Dow Jones Indices and Pantera Capital launched the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index and included Tron as a key constituent protocol. The index assesses protocols based on utility, on-chain liquidity and network activity.

Tron currently supports more than 394 million user accounts, while the amount of Tether circulating on the network has surpassed $90 billion. According to Token Terminal, USDT transfers on the Tron network totaled about $4.5 trillion so far this year.

Tron has also expanded institutional access through U.S. regulated market infrastructure by integrating with Anchorage Digital, Securitize and Bitnomial.

"As digital assets become part of mainstream financial markets, the framework for evaluating them must evolve as well," Tron founder Justin Sun said. "Transparent benchmarks have long served as an essential reference point in global financial markets. Applying those principles to blockchain networks shows that digital assets are continuing to mature as an institutional asset class, and that utility, adoption and on-chain activity are becoming the fundamental measures of a network’s importance."
