Forecast Trend Report by Period

Senate Republicans plan to pursue a vote as soon as next week on the CLARITY Act, a digital-asset market structure bill, regardless of whether they reach an agreement with Democrats.
Cointelegraph reported on July 22 that Senate Majority Leader John Thune intends to bring the bill to a vote as early as next week even without a bipartisan deal.
Senate Republicans previously released a revised version of the CLARITY Act that combines measures drafted separately by the Banking Committee and the Agriculture Committee.
Democrats have objected, saying the revised bill's ethics provisions are inadequate. Some Democrats seen as friendly to cryptocurrencies have also raised concerns about provisions related to illicit finance and conflicts of interest.
The CLARITY Act needs at least 60 votes to pass the Senate. If Republicans move ahead without Democratic support, the key question will be whether they can secure enough votes for passage.
