The hacker behind the attack on decentralized exchange AFX Trade has begun converting the stolen funds into Bitcoin in what appears to be an effort to launder the assets.

EmberCN reported on July 25 that the attacker started swapping the stolen Ether into Bitcoin. The hacker stole about 24.15 million USDC in the July 23 attack on AFX Trade and exchanged the proceeds for 12,468 Ether.

The Bitcoin conversions were carried out through THORChain. So far, about 655 Ether has been swapped for 18.86 Bitcoin.
