Alex Thorn, head of research at Galaxy Digital, wrote on X on July 25 that dormant Bitcoin transfers in the second quarter dropped to their lowest level since the third quarter of 2022. The figure was also well below the dormant Bitcoin activity seen in 2024 and 2025.
Moves in dormant Bitcoin are typically interpreted as selling activity or wallet transfers.
