Forecast Trend Report by Period

NH Investment & Securities has formed a dedicated digital-asset task force as South Korea moves to bring digital assets into the regulated financial system and formalize rules for tokenized securities, or STOs.
According to the financial investment industry on July 27, the brokerage set up the Digital Asset Task Force on July 22 to identify business opportunities and lay the groundwork for execution.
The task force is headed by the chief of the digital business division and consists of one full-time member and six non-full-time members. It is scheduled to operate through Dec. 31 and may be extended if necessary.
NH Investment & Securities will use the task force to develop digital-asset business models that can respond to changes in capital-market structure and draw up detailed implementation plans. It is also preparing for tokenized securities legislation scheduled to take effect in February 2027.
In particular, the company plans to conduct a proof of concept, or PoC, for issuing tokenized securities backed by standardized securities, which are not currently permitted. The aim is to secure issuance capabilities in advance so the business can be commercialized quickly once the new rules take effect.
A company official said the task force was launched as a preemptive response as digital assets move further into the institutional financial system. The company plans to provide new services in line with regulatory changes.
