Swiss digital-asset bank Amina is exploring listing options, including an initial public offering, CoinDesk reported on July 27, citing people familiar with the matter.

Amina is evaluating a potential market debut with advice from Cantor Fitzgerald, the report said. The bank had also considered going public through a merger with a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, but now favors a reverse merger with a digital asset treasury company, or DAT, the people said.

The exact structure has not been decided. Amina said its immediate priority is raising capital for strategic growth. While an IPO remains part of its future plans, the bank said it is not currently in talks separately with either a SPAC or a DAT.

Amina was founded in 2018 as SEBA Bank and adopted its current name in 2023. The bank, which specializes in digital assets, is regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, or FINMA. It offers crypto trading, custody, staking and lending services to institutional and professional investors, and has expanded into Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong and India.
