Large amounts of Bitcoin flowed into centralized exchanges shortly after a seed-generation flaw in the Coldcard hardware wallet was disclosed.

Sani, founder of Timechainindex, wrote on X on August 1 that 11,163 Bitcoin had been transferred to centralized exchanges after the Coldcard security vulnerability became known on July 31.

Deposits of digital assets to centralized exchanges are generally viewed as a sign of rising selling pressure.

River received the largest inflow with 3,679 Bitcoin, followed by Binance with 3,224, Kraken with 2,848 and OKX with 1,291.
