The White House has yet to take an official position on a bipartisan compromise over the ethics provision in the CLARITY Act, a US crypto market structure bill.

Eleanor Terrett, host of Crypto in America, said on August 3 that the White House had not responded to the ethics proposal submitted last week by Republican Senator Thom Tillis and Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego.

That leaves the bill's biggest sticking point unresolved, even as a possible vote on the CLARITY Act this week is being discussed.

The ethics provision focuses on potential conflicts of interest involving President Donald Trump and his family's crypto businesses. Democrats have demanded stronger language as a key condition for supporting the bill.
