Strategy, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, used artificial intelligence to craft a fundraising strategy, Wu Blockchain reported.

Michael Saylor, Strategy's executive chairman, said in an interview with The Diary Of A CEO on August 6 that the company "made $15 billion using AI."

At the start of 2025, Strategy held about $30 billion worth of Bitcoin, but had run out of room to issue convertible bonds, its main funding tool at the time, Saylor said. To keep buying more Bitcoin, the company used AI to develop new financing instruments.

One product that resulted was STRK, a Bitcoin-based convertible preferred stock. According to Saylor, Strategy raised $2.5 billion through STRK's initial public offering and then sold an additional $8 billion through a shelf registration.

Strategy later raised another $4 billion through a separate financial product, bringing total sales of its credit instruments to about $15 billion.
