Some Solana validators were briefly disrupted by an infrastructure outage, but the network continued to operate normally.
Wu Blockchain reported on Aug. 13 that Jacob Creech, a technology executive at the Solana Foundation, said an overnight outage struck an infrastructure provider used by some validators.
A total of 102 of Solana's 699 staking validators were affected. The remaining 597, or about 85%, continued voting normally during the disruption.
The Solana network kept producing blocks and processing transactions without interruption. The affected validators were restored within 40 minutes.
Validators participating in the Solana Foundation Delegation Program were not affected by the outage.
