Iran said it has not yet decided whether to resume negotiations with the US.
Al Jazeera reported on August 15 that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on Telegram that Tehran had not decided whether to restart talks with Washington.
Araghchi also rejected the possibility of extending the ceasefire. He said the Islamabad memorandum of understanding signed with the US in June did not stipulate a 60-day ceasefire, but rather declared an end to the war. With fighting resuming after the US violated the agreement, there is currently no ceasefire to extend, he wrote.
