Forecast Trend Report by Period

As the boundary between digital assets and stock markets blurs, investment across both traditional financial assets and digital assets is set to gain momentum.
Lucas Sim, head of stock market development at Gate.io, told Odaily in an interview published on August 18 that the correlation between the digital-asset market and the Nasdaq index is running above the five-year average and at one point exceeded 0.8. As digital assets and equities increasingly converge, they are becoming part of a single macro investment trend.
Sim identified a "multi-asset strategy" — the convergence of the digital-asset market and traditional finance — as a key market narrative ahead.
The real-world asset, or RWA, market has expanded from about $12 billion a year ago to more than $30 billion now, he said. Tokenized US Treasuries have also reached about $15 billion, underscoring the continued expansion of on-chain financial infrastructure.
Gate.io has expanded its stock-market business to the US, Hong Kong and South Korea, Sim added. The company plans to broaden the service to more global markets and provide infrastructure for multi-asset investing.
