Coinbase Chief Executive Officer Brian Armstrong said the CLARITY Act is on track to pass the Senate next month, CoinDesk reported on Aug. 21.
Armstrong said he expects the bill to win support from more than 60 senators on Sept. 15. He added that he is confident it will clear the first procedural vote after Congress returns to session.
The Senate needs 60 votes to pass the procedural motion required to begin formal consideration of the legislation.
Armstrong also said discussions on the CLARITY Act have entered the final stage, indicating that an end to uncertainty over US digital-asset regulation may be approaching.
