Bithumb to Launch 13th-Anniversary ‘Plus Club’ on Sept. 4 With 13% Bitcoin Rewards

Bithumb said on Sept. 3 that it will officially launch Plus Club on Sept. 4, offering Bitcoin rewards worth 13% a year to mark its 13th anniversary.

Plus Club is a free rewards program for new Bithumb users and customers with no trading history this year. Users who complete registration will receive Bitcoin rewards based on their average daily asset holdings.

Rewards are capped at about $10 a day, about $304 a month and about $3,623 a year. The program is limited to the first 50,000 applicants.

To qualify for the benefits, users must post at least about $36,232 in monthly trading volume in the won market. Reward calculations apply only to asset holdings that increase after joining the program, and accrued benefits will be paid in a lump sum on the fifth business day of the following month.

Bithumb has been accepting advance applications for Plus Club since Aug. 28. More than about $43.5 million was deposited in last year’s 10% annual rewards promotion for the company’s 12th anniversary, leading Bithumb to raise this year’s rate to 13%.

A Bithumb official said Plus Club was created to return benefits to customers for the company’s 13th anniversary. Bithumb will continue to strengthen its market leadership and user benefits with a customer-first approach, the official added.
