The digital-asset industry recorded 50 hacking incidents in August.
Blockchain security firm PeckShield said on Sept. 5 that the industry suffered 50 hacks last month, up 67% from July. The value of losses from those attacks fell 49.5% from the previous month to $136.3 million.
The largest loss was at decentralized-finance protocol Tectonic, which was hit for about $74 million. Cronos, or CRO, also suffered losses of $6 million.
