DoubleZero Adds Kalshi Election Market Data to Edge Ahead of U.S. Midterms, Expanding Institutional Access
Summary
- The DoubleZero Foundation said it expanded the scope of data it provides to institutions by integrating Kalshi election and political prediction-market data into DoubleZero Edge.
- The integration will allow institutions to incorporate political prediction-market data into their existing trading and investment systems for risk assessment, exposure management and position adjustments.
- DoubleZero said election-related prediction-market trading volume and election-related trading activity are increasing ahead of the U.S. midterm elections, while institutional use cases for prediction markets are also growing.

The DoubleZero Foundation has added Kalshi election and political prediction-market data to its platform ahead of the U.S. midterm elections, expanding the range of data it offers institutional clients.
On Sept. 10, the foundation said it had integrated Kalshi’s election and political markets into DoubleZero Edge, its market-data transmission platform. The addition broadens coverage beyond sports event contracts and crypto perpetual futures to political prediction markets.
The integration allows institutions to more easily incorporate Kalshi’s political prediction-market data into existing trading and investment systems. DoubleZero said clients can use the data to monitor shifts in market expectations during the election cycle in real time and apply that information to risk assessment, exposure management and position adjustments.
Andy Ross, Kalshi’s head of institutional business, said election markets provide a tradable, real-time view of how market expectations shift as political events unfold. He added that DoubleZero Edge makes it easier for institutions to integrate political-market data into their existing workflows.
DoubleZero’s expansion into political prediction markets comes as trading tied to the Nov. 3 U.S. midterm elections rises rapidly. Reuters reported that, as of mid-August, trading volume in some U.S. election-related prediction markets had surpassed $133 million, already exceeding levels seen during the 2024 election cycle.
DoubleZero said election-related trading volume continues to increase ahead of the midterms. It added that more institutions are using prediction markets as a real-time information source for political and economic outcomes.
