Hashed and its subsidiary ShardLab said on Sept. 14 that they will hold Korea’s first collectibles event, Collectible Con, with The Concept Labs.

Collectible Con is an interactive event where collectors can view, trade and connect over a range of collectibles, including trading card games, or TCGs.

The event will be held from Oct. 2 to Oct. 3 at Stage X Seongsu Chabot in Seoul. It will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free, and visitors can enter by registering in advance on the official website and presenting a QR code.

More than 50 vendors will participate, showcasing TCG cards from Pokemon, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic: The Gathering and Disney Lorcana, as well as sports cards, designer toys, animation merchandise and artwork. Domestic and overseas collectors, along with international brands, distributors, artists and creators, are also set to take part.

Visitors will be able to inspect and trade rare single cards, unopened vintage products, graded cards and limited-edition items. The venue will also offer live pack openings, card grading and authentication services, and a trading space where collectors can exchange items from their own collections. The program will feature eight panel talks and lectures on collectibles market trends, as well as card grading, storage and trading.

This will be the first time Collectible Con is being held in Korea. The first event, held in Bangkok in May, drew about 4,000 visitors. Hashed said it chose Seoul as the second host city as Korea’s collectibles market grows rapidly.

Tamonrat Chusit, co-founder of The Concept Labs, said Korea’s collectibles market has expanded quickly, but collector activity has largely been centered online, limiting opportunities for in-person exchanges. Through the event, the company aims to give collectors a chance to meet face to face, explore a wide range of collectibles and trade them directly.
